Still in a daze about graduating and turning twenty and entering university. Everything feels so surreal, and I feel stuck as ever. Stuck in a teenager-cum-adult body. Was glad to be invited for NP's graduation dinner so I decided to spend a lil more money this time to do hair; cause I didn't manage to do my hair for my sec school prom :/ PREP - Manicure & Pedicure @ Nail AlcoveI just love to go back to do my nails at Nail Alcove, because Chloe is such a friendly boss and does an awesome job to my nails everytime! It's always good to have someone you trust handle your nails :> RELEVATION OF MY CLASSIC MANICURE AND GELISH PEDICURE How to get there? 59B Temple Street; 5 minutes from the CBD area, a 3 minute walk to the trendy Ann Siang hill and right smack in the middle of a food haven. I promise she'd be extra nice :> Everyday: 11 - 9pm Black Hair SalonHAD to do my hair for this grad night because it would be my only grad night I'm attending in poly! Got a recommendation from the lady I bought my dress from, and she suggested me to go to Black Hair Salon to make an appt with Raymond. I felt a little unsure because I usually entrust my hair to Hair Partners, which is recommended by my mum. As such, I first checked out Black Hair Salon's IG account and realised they have done hair for a lot of influencers and famous people!! THE RESULTS ARE REALLY PRETTZ TOO! After browsing through all the lovely hairstyles, I immediately dropped Ray a text to make an appt! At 4.30pm, to give them and myself ample time before the dinner :> I struggled for a bit to find the place cause I'm such a sotong HAHAH I saw The Bencoolen building just beside the Bugis OG but it simply didn't register into my head to walk in. Until I asked several OG staff. HAHA Sigh Amanda Sigh. Walked in and saw Ray attending to someone's hair, (HE'S SO CUTE???) Cutest Hair Salon boss everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Ray assigned a really friendly guy to help me! First, I got my hair washed. Then, they hair-dryer-blowed my hair into these BIGGGGG curls The best part? Ray only charged me $22 for a wash and blow! So thankful that it didn't burn a huge hole in my pocket just so I could look pretty :') So please, do head over to Black Hair Salon to get your hair styled/coloured/cut! You'd feel really at home, with the cosy atmosphere and talkative friendly staff :> I'd be sure to go back again heheheh, till then! BLACK HAIR SALON (Bencoolen): Facebook.com/blackhair.saloonn 🏠 The Bencoolen, 180 Bencoolen st, #01-28, s 189646 (Bugis OG) ☎: 68359976 / 62423945 BreakfixnowAs some of you may know, my phone screen was smashed and cracked; (beautifully? I think not) Just before I flew to Sydney for my holiday. It was all because I was running late for work and in a rush; so while tumbling out of bed and making my way to the toilet, I tripped and BAM my phone lands face first on the ground. I pick up my phone and omg wth. BUT, I have glass screen protector on. So by right, it should have cushioned the fall. But, BY LEFT, it didn't. So my screen really cracked. SOMEONE CLAP FOR THE GLASS SCREEN PROTECTOR FROM SCAPE THANK YOU VERY MUCH. BIG SIGHS EVERYWHERE. After I returned to SG, I actually made a trip to the apple repair centre; AND GOT THE BIGGEST SHOCK. They told me I had to pay like $400+ to exchange for a new phone. Being the daddy's girl, I immediately called my dad for the game plan And decided to walk out. That kind of money was ridiculous, esp when my phone's really pretty new. My dad's an engineer. He solves problems. He asks around and gives me this recommendation, Breakfixnow. I look at their website and instagram and the shop seems pretty legit. I get a second opinion from my techie friend JJ and he says "no harm trying" I was desperate anyway, was really lazy to go find time to get into sim lim and haggle with a bunch of men. Since, I was in the area after doing my hair, I decided to drop my phone off for fixing. The price quoted for a new screen (Iphone 5s) is $140 with a 2 months warranty. The job can also be completed in approximately 30 mins! They sell a lot of phone accessories too! As well as glass screen protectors THAT ACTUALLY WORK. Text for a rate if you need fixing :> @9729 2739 Or call them at 6337 2739 Opening Hours: 11am-10pm daily Red Carpet AffairWaited really long to get my table cause I had payment issues. The first thing everyone checks out is le menu HAHA You're like my gay buddy or something; comfortable that we can call each other fat and fags. It's so funny that you always go around telling people how we met at THS but I'm glad we met. You're so many talents in one body; you sing, you dance, you DJ, idk what else you wanna do honestly HAHA #spoilmarketsia But I know you work really hard too, and I'm immensely proud. I'd always be supporting your work as a friend and know that I'd be around when you need me :>
SELFIE SPAM AHEAD Had quite a bit of laughter throughout the night;
thanks to the entertainment company and the participative school mates :> Ngee Ann is a great place to be, because of it's people. The memories I've made will be a part of me forever; and I'm proud to be a Ngee Ann Student. I will never regret the choice I made; never. Stay tuned for my graduation ceremony post hehehe; I made it!

Hey guys, how's it going? :> Ahhh, it's so hot back in sunny SG that I miss Sydney so much alrd :< The skies are so much bluer there, the breeze, the trees, oh those beaches and the waves. Departure nightKinda departed with a heavy heart, don't really like leaving things behind. Although I know no one is indispensable, but I still fear that during my absence, something bad happens and I can't be around to do anything. What a helpless feeling :/ But I had to say a temporary goodbye. The flight was about 7 hours long overnight. I sat beside a Vietnamese man who thought that I was Vietnamese too. WHY? WHY? WHY? Previously on the mrt, this auntie also asked me if I'm from Myanmar. Don't I look chinese enough? Meh. The flight was really bad, was fighting my period cramps the whole night. Super awful :< But at least, I recovered by morning. Amanda is strong *flex non existent muscles* HAHHA Day UnoWe checked in and felt really hungry so we headed out for some food! The hotel is smack in the city. With University of Technology and University of Sydney just down the road, the place was buzzing with students and full of life. Lots of sushi places around to fill the tummies of hungry students We took a bus to get to the Sydney Harbour, transport is quite exp in the city. One trip easily costs you 3.80 AUD. Passed by a lovely lil park otw It was just a short walk, the harbour is located at Circular Quay, which has a railway station! IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN TO SYDNEY, THERE IS SOMETHING YOU MUST KNOW. THE SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE AND HARBOUR BRIDGE LOOKS AH-MAZING FREAKING BEAUTIFUL GODLY-HUMAN CREATIONS The sun sets really early, like around 4.30pm, the sun is already preparing to end the day After all the gawking, we decided to train back to our hotel area to have dinner. Our hotel is really near The Central Station. Understand that shops close really early in the evening, but thankfully we managed to find a lil vietnamese shop to fill our tummies. In Australia, you learn to take it slow. There isn't much to do at night unless you go drinking or clubbing. We ended the day with a trip to the supermarket, we just love Australian supermarkets. So much variety and S P A C E to run around. Day DosWe woke up bright and early to go on a day tour to the Blue Mountains! The first stop was actually a Aboriginal Centre, where we learnt more about their culture; their dance and their music. Then we headed to Scenic World We headed for our next ride, hohoho Was in for a big surprise T H E D R O P We took a leisure valley walk, enjoying the cool weather, eating apples and snacks, talking about our lives. The bus brought us to an area with shophouses for lunch! Love love shophouses. We explored a little, had cheap fish and chips at a takeaway shop run by chinese, and peeked into the chocolatier stalls. Then, we headed to Featherdale Wildlife park for some animal lovin' To finish off the day, we cruised back to the city! Just in time for sunset views *heartshaped eyes* Upon reaching the city, we headed to the Central, which was a mall near the hotel.
Sissy and I decided to get some Mexican food! Hey, remember when I shared about Sample Store? Hope you girls have gotten your samples! As part of the Seeders Program, I get to try free samples and share my reviews with my readers! Beauty BioticsSkin Gets Younger, Faster, Longer The BEAUTYBIOTICS range of Dream Cream products is a breakthrough, new range of dermatological cosmetics or functional skin care that erases imperfections upon first application, and continues to work at the skin’s cellular level to deliver intense hydration and regenerate skin collagen and elastin, leaving your skin supple and youthful in the long-term. Based on medical aesthetics science, BEAUTYBIOTICS light-diffusing optic technology infuses skin with a soft light for a radiant and glowing complexion. BEAUTYBIOTICS also uses Nano Technology to pack more hydrating and age-defying active ingredients into one application and deliver them into deep layers of the skin to enhance skin cell regeneration. BEAUTYBIOTICS is dermatologist tested for sensitive skin, and made in Japan for Asian skins with proven ingredients to: •! Regenerate skin elastin and collagen for plumped up softness •! Intensely hydrate for supple skin •! Improve skin radiance and clarity •! Effectively whiten for luminous, bright skin 1) BeautyBiotics Dream Cream BB/CC Beauty Balm Colour Corrector, $39Yknow how the best you can go is usually a 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 product? This Dream Cream, is a 12-in-1 multitasker (with an advanced whitening formula)!
SUITABLE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES, EVEN SENSITIVE SKIN! I personally love the product because: 1) I have very dry skin and Dream Cream will re-hydrate my skin! 2) It doubles as a sun-block with the SPF 40, PA+++ which is superb for SG weather. 3) It also helps to cover blemishes which means I can avoid layering too many products such as concealers on my face. BB+ Nano Luminescence Mineral Pearl Powder, $45The Dream Cream BB+ series features another amazing product! I got to try the Nano Luminescence Mineral Pearl Powder in Shimmer! (However, I'm not really used to my face being all glittery) It provides Advanced UV Protection with SPF 40 PA+++! If you don't know what SPF kinda means, it actually relates to the period of sun protection the product provides. So the higher the SPF, the less you need to top up to get protected from the sun! Girls usually worry about the stickiness that a sunblock brings so this powder solves that issue! (Psst. It's also waterproof!) I know it can get really hot in SG and sometimes we perspire (esp when we run to catch the bus) Also, the powder diffuses light through its light-diffusing pearl crystals to hide all the things girls hate: - Wrinkles - Spots (This I really hate, and please be careful with spots cause they might grow into really ugly pigmentation so don't forget your sunblock or SPF equipped products!) - Pores Also though it's a powder, it has all the benefits of a cream for it hydrates, regenerates and repairs! I believe that most Asians regard fair skin as beauty and guess what? This powder promises to make skin One Tone Brighter Say YAY to radiant skin! :> DIRECTIONS: Apply evenly onto face using the powder puff that is provided. Reapply onto problem areas for enhanced coverage UV White Nano Mineral PowderAnother great powder to talk about in this series! UV White is a clinical strength sun protection and whitening nano mineral powder that provides broad band UV protection and helps whiten skin at the same time. This makes it a great sun protection alternative apart from applying sunscreen; providing high sun protection with SPF 50/PA+++. The powerful Nano Collagen + Hyaluronic Acid + Alpha Arbutin Formula helps regenerate skin, reduce pigmentation and lighten dark spots! It's hydrating quality attracts me as well, for my skin is really dry after long hours of air con in the office :< UV White is hence essentially a sunscreen in powder form, with whitening benefits and is such a breeze to apply! DIRECTIONS: Apply evenly onto the face and areas with dark spots and wrinkles. Re-apply throughout the day as necessary. What are you waiting for? Before flying off to Sydney for my mother's convocation; I made an appt for my momsie, sissy and I; with Benefit so we could all do our brows and look pretty hehhe. On that note, yes my mum at her age of 49, graduated with an MBA from University of Newcastle *claps* She's such an inspiration and motivation :> So, I first tried the Benefit Brow Bar when I won a free eyebrow waxing sesh through Nylon SG! You girls should totally follow Nylon on Ig and Fb as they have contests pretty often heheh. I have kindly censored the waxing process which includes him applying the warm wax and then using a white sheet to stick on top of the wax. He then pulls off the sheet and out comes the hairs, RIGHT FROM THEIR ROOTS! This is very important as it ensures that the new browhair that grows, would be finer. (and hopefully lesser) Follow Benefit Cosmetics Singapore on their social media to get the latest updates! (Sometimes they conduct contests and giveaways too!) TULIPS FROM HOLLAND ON HOME SOIL! No one should miss that. Girls say flowers are unpractical gifts and all, but they still love them nonetheless. So, please boys, do still buy her flowers from time to time; or bring her to Gardens by The Bay. :> BTW GUYS, ITS IMPORTANT TO KNOW THE DIFFERENT FLOWER MEANINGS ALRIGHT. It's my first time entering the domes at GBTB, and it's so cooling inside! I guess cause the tulips also need to be put in cool temperatures to live and bloom :> All photos taken and edited by Iphone 5S. :>
