It's been a while since I shared about the food I ate and things I've been up to. Idk, I guess I was busy and also because I didn't really feel like blogging about them. But still here you go, the usual recount. Griddy Gourmet WafflesLast Tuesday, my sis told me she was having E-learning and so she had no school and wanted to go out for something nice to eat. She didn't wanna travel too far, so that she still had some time to study. Therefore, we thought like all other west-siders and headed to JE. Jurong East is amazing now, with 4 malls. Westgate and JEM are like town compressed into two buildings, which is uh-mazing. I let her choose what she wanted to eat and we settled for Griddys. Griddys is at B2 of Westgate, and looks really humble. Nothing fanciful whatsoever, but that translates to cheaper prices for consumers as well. Remember to tag your photos with #gotgriddy on insta for a chance for your photo to be featured! Westwood BowlAfter a nice chit-chat with my sis, we parted ways. She off to studying and me to meet my neighbours for bowling. It's been ages since I bowled. But WestWood Bowl at Bukit Batok Civil Service Club still remains as the place to go, because it's cheaper compared to other bowling alleys and it's nearby home. GirltimeI always appreciate girl-time because well, I don't really have much girlfriends. Bellowellow wanted to try Griddys after she saw the photos on my insta and so I brought her there on Friday. CreamierFinally made my way down to try this raved place! It's such a small shop omg. SQUEEZEY especially on a Friday night. I wanted to go look for The Grub at Bishan Park and I really did make my way down. BUT WE COULDN'T FIND THE PLACE??? So we just sat around in the park to enjoy the scenery and night lights and talked. SaturdayWent back for Clinique work again, but this time deployed to town. After work, my parents picked me up and we headed to Copthorne Kings Hotel for my bro's early birthday dinner. We always eat at the Copthorne hotels cause we're members. Even I have some ala carte card which I never use After dinner, I headed home. BUT WITH AN AFTERPLAN IN MIND. ZOUKThe main reason to go was because DJ Aldrin had a set at Velvet; and he was so good during the SEA Launch Party. But in the end, I didn't get to hear him spin. NONETHELESS, Alvaro was awesome to spin Tsunami ^^ AND THIS TIME I ONLY TOOK A FEW SIPS OF DRINK SO THE NIGHT WENT WELL. :> I still went to work the next day, even though I didn't even sleep. I don't get to sleep after clubbing because of the light that comes along as the day breaks and the increasing noise levels as morning comes. Plus, how could I sleep well after hurting someone because I was unclear about who I was bringing along to Zouk? But thanks for still choosing to let go and keep the friendship and even bringing me Starbucks at work. Wild Honey and Pat & Stick'sMet my Belly so that she could settle some uni stuff and then we went for some good food :> Soon Huat BKTI headed down to Bedok in an attempt to eat at Simpang for dinner. JJ and I got so lost EVEN THOUGH HE STAYS IN BEDOK HE HAS NEVER BEEN TO SIMPANG ?!?!?!!?!? But we settled to try Soon Huat BKT. It's a social enterprise for the boss had spent time in jail and is now a changed man. BKT amazes me, because the style of preparing it is always different; depending on the dialect. Like there is the peppery type by the Teochews (which I usually eat and thus prefer) and also the dark sauce type by the Hokkiens. The one by Soon Huat belongs to the first, and I like that there are golden mushrooms in it :> Sigh,
my parents were kicking up a fuss again though. About how "late" I was coming home. It's so suffocating. I don't even wanna talk about it. I wish they would care less sometimes. or maybe I just wish they would let loose and actually live.
